Public Market Cum Terminal The construction of the proposed public market cum terminal is ongoing. Said project serves as a solution to the traffic problem in Barangay Tabunok. The spacious area will hopefully pull in the small and medium enterprises to hold businesses in the new market; also the place will house all public utility vehicles together in one.
Modern Slaughterhouse
The modern slaughterhouse is equipped with modern facilities for slaughtering chickens, pigs, cows and beefs and with modern equipments that can be utilized for meat processing like making of hotdogs, tocinos and other processed meat products. It has a double A (AA) accreditation from the National Meat Inspection Services (NMIS) which means that slaughtered meat in the slaughterhouse facility can be sold in nearby areas/cities within the country. The availability of new high-tech facilities and machineries plus well trained workers in the new slaughterhouse can guarantee all consumers of meat slaughtered in the facility a safe and good quality meat products in the market.
Development, Rehabilitation, & Upgrading of Urban Poor Sites
A project dedicated to our less fortunate Talisaynons. By providing them a decent place to live in, we help promote their self-respect and help them recognize their worth as individuals. This is consistent to the LGU's vision to be a squatter-free city in the south.
Maghaway Rehabilitation & Detention Center
To give the inmates of the former congested city jail in Poblacion a decent and spacious detention center where livelihood programs and physical activities towards complete rehabilitation is possible, a very spacious detention and rehabilitation center was constructed at the upland Barangay of Maghaway. Male and female inmates have separate detention center as well as minor detainees.
Talisay City College As the previous City Mayor, Hon. Eduardo R. Gullas has already initiated the creation of the City College, the present administration anticipates for a construction of a new building to accommodate the increasing number of students. This gives all deserving students who lack financial means a chance for an alternative quality education. Through this program, our less fortunate constituents can now expect a brighter future for their children. Integrated Ecological Solid Waste Management Plans & Programs To ensure a long-term solid waste management, a City Solid Waste Management Plan will be developed. This includes the establishment of the Proposed Sanitary Landfill Area in Tapul considering that the Department of Environment and Natural Resources prohibited the City to continue the disposal of wastes in Barangay Biasong. The City will look into the viability of this landfill and effective implementation of Solid Waste Management programs in all component barangays.
Revenue-generating measures such as Recycling will also be prioritized to promote the viability of the Solid Waste Management Plan. Management of all waste by segregation, sorting, recovery and composting will be looked into as well as the settling up of MRF. New Talisay City Hall By giving the constituents of the City of Talisay a New and Spacious City Hall, the swift and systematic flow of every government transactions can be expected. Thus, promote excellent and effective working relationships between the government workers and the people. Construction, Repair &/ or Maintenance of Local Roads & Bridges Congested traffic seems a normal scene in the main areas of the City especially during peak hours. The riding public tends to get stuck into the traffic for sometime causing unnecessary delay on their daily acitvities. Bearing this in mind, the City government decided to widen and even rehabilitate roads and if deemed necessary, construct new roads and bridges giving the Talisaynon the convenience of having a wide, comfortable and passable road.
